The hit Netflix series Stranger Things is returning October 27th for its second season, and the promotional posters are incredible. Each one is a shout-out to an 80's horror film, which fits with the series' time period (1983.) A few of the films were actually released just before/after the eighties, but we'll let it slide because the art is so damn good. Here are the posters for the series as well as the posters of the films they pay homage to.

In this collection of comics, Cartoonist Cheekylicious has depicted our favorite filmmakers as chef's, and the final products are clever and amusing. We especially like that Michael Bay's penchant for gratuitous explosions is represented as a Paula Deen-style calorie bomb of a meal.
