'The Married Kama Sutra' Is A Comedically Unsexy Look At Real Relationships

Sometimes when married couples feel they're lacking spice, they will turn to the Kama Sutra- an ancient Indian erotic and emotional guide to fulfillment in relationships. Most people are familiar with the newer illustrated (or sculptural) versions of the text, featuring graphic and seemingly impossible sexual positions meant to be tried by adventurous couples. But not every marriage is ready for some Sting-style tantric sex. Some married couples are more interested in stuff like "sleep" and "quiet."

That's where Simon Rich & Farley Katz of The New Yorker come in. The creative duo claims to have "unearthed" a sacred Kama Sutra text that's dedicated to married life. And it's both hilariously and sadly accurate. The illustrations, by Katz, transport the classic Kama Sutra illustration style with modern marriage plights and speed bumps. The results will resonate with most of your legally partnered pals. If you want to see more, you can pick up the book on Amazon.

Illustrators On Tumblr Have Fun With Bizarre Gender Identity Chart

We've got absolutely no problem with gender fluidity. But we do have a problem with cringey design. This Tumblr thread focuses on one such example - a chart about flexible gender identity. The designer of the graphic went kind of crazy utilizing the classic male/female symbols but remixing the interior (and limbs) using male/female colors. Many Tumblr users were baffled by the imagery, and decided to illustrate the "genders" it displays. The drawings are riotously funny, while maintaining respect for people who don't fit  into one of two boxes.

Disney Princesses Look Much More, Um, Realistic In These Hilarious Illustrations

Many of us grew up admiring Disney princesses like Ariel or Sleeping Beauty as little girls. It's all fine until you get older and realize just how those characters majorly play into the unrealistic beauty and behavior standards for young girls. Luckily that's getting better nowadays with newer, more progressive Disney characters like Moana and Elsa.

Illustrator Andhika Muksin re-imagines classic Disney princesses looking a little more...human, shall we say? We're into it!

Keanu Reeves Goes Disney Prince In These Perfect Illustrations

Keanu Reeves is on everyone's mind. The actor, of Matrix and John Wick fame, has joined the ranks of Steve Irwin and Robby Rotten as a wholesome hero of sorts, and is getting meme'd as such. It was only a matter of time before somebody went full Disney with this trend, and we can thank Buzzfeed's Crystal Ro for being the first brave soul to combine the two. Her illustrations subbing Keanu for classic Disney princes are pretty immaculate, and while seemingly unnecessary, endlessly entertaining. We've thrown in a few of these masterpieces, but be sure to visit Buzzfeed to see the rest of these brilliant mashups.

Star Wars Meets Calvin & Hobbes In These Adorable Mashup Comics

Illustrator Brian Kesinger may have made a name for himself with his illustration work at Walt Disney Studios, but it's his work outside of the movie business that really gets fans going. His steampunk art has been his most successful, featuring whimsical cephalopods and frilly fashions - but our favorite series of his combines the Star Wars universe with Calvin and Hobbes.
