People Are Falling For A Hilarious Tweet That Claims Donald Trump Watches A Gorilla Channel

Trump White House tell-all Fire and Fury has been getting an insane amount of attention after the release of several excerpts. The book, written by Michael Wolff, is an explosive look at the first nine months of what has already been a controversial presidency. An excerpt from New York Magazine has been getting the most attention - claiming that Donald Trump never really wanted to be president, and that his campaign didn't even believe he should be president.

The book has since come under major fire from the current administration, so much that legal representation for the president has sent a cease and desist letter to both Wolff and the book's publisher. It doesn't look like the book's release will be delayed, but the controversy has been serious enough to inspire a very clever parody. A parody so good that many people have seriously fallen for it.

Twitter user @pixelatedboat posted a riotously funny fake excerpt from the book that claims Donald Trump watches a staff-edited television channel that shows gorilla-related content 24/7. So many people have fallen for the jest that @pixelatedboat changed their name to "the gorilla channel is a joke" out of sheer desperation. Even Vice News has gotten in on the action by creating their own Gorilla Channel live feed. Notable believers in the ridiculous tweet include liberal author Eric Garland, Democratic Coalition co-founder Scott Dworkin, NYT columnist Farhad Manjoo, and author Shadi Hamid.  We've included the tweet, and the subsequent antics, below.

Funny fake excerpt about gorillas, michael wolff, donald trump, gorilla channel, twitter, fire and fury.

Simpsons Fans Rejoice As Writer Shares The OG Script For The Legendary "Steamed Hams" Scene

Writer Bill Oakley delighted fans of The Simpsons yesterday after tweeting the original script for the series' beloved "Steamed Hams" scene. In the episode, Principal Skinner invites Superintendent Chalmers over for dinner. As can be expected, the dinner is a disaster and results in a series of seriously elaborate lies. When Chalmers expresses confusion at being served hamburgers after being promised steamed clams, Skinner attempts to smooth things over by explaining that he meant "steamed hams" - an Albany term for burgers.

The scene, from the 1996 episode "22 Short films About Springfield" has reached mega-meme status, inspiring parodies, remixes, image macros and even Facebook pages. You can read the script and reactions below - as well as enjoy some classic steamed hams memes.

Carson Jones Earns Internet Hero Status After Side-Eyeing Mike Pence

Doug Jones' son Carson is being celebrated as a "side-eye" God after staring down Mike Pence as his father was sworn in. Carson, who is openly gay, garnered fast Twitter praise (and memes) from the LGBT community and beyond. Mike Pence is a believer in conversion therapy, and widely considered a foe of the LGBT community, so Carson Jones' expression seems to have packed quite a punch.

Gay News Anchor Warned Twitter To Brace For A 'Pounding' And People Are Loving It

Openly gay news anchor Blaine Stewart rocked Twitter with some serious innuendo while covering the impending Northeast winter 'bomb cyclone.' The Norfolk-Virginia Beach reporter wrote 'UPDATE: Get ready for a pounding. Some of us could see 8 inches or more. That's too much — even for me.'

The tweet has since been deleted, but this isn't the first time Stewart has made sexual jokes about the weather. Just over a year ago he made a reference to gay dating site Grindr while covering the threat of an even higher snowfall. "THESE ARE NOT @GRINDR INCHES. THESE ARE ACTUAL INCHES!"

We're not sure what prompted to Stewart to delete the saucy tweet, but we're still reveling in the humor - and we're not alone. He's being applauded across Twitter and many LGBT websites.

While we are enjoying the tweet and the responses, we have to remind you that this winter weather is no joke. 11 people have already died from the brutal Northeast cold, so bundle up and stay safe if the storm is headed your way!

Justin Timberlake Just Released A Trailer For His Next Album And Twitter's Got Jokes

Bring on the Bon Iver jokes, Justin Timberlake has gone woodsy in the trailer for his upcoming album, 'Man of the Woods.' The album, judging by the trailer is a major departure from the artist's dance-able R&B repertoire. The transformation was not lost on Twitter users, who were very quick to hilariously meme and roast Timberlake's new "earthy, country" sound.

Logan Paul Sparks Outrage After Sharing Video Of A Dead Body In Japan

Warning: This post contains sensitive material.

Vlogger Logan Paul is under fire (and rightfully so) after filming a dead body in Aokigahara, a known Japanese "suicide forest." The video, which has since been deleted, shows Paul joking in front of the camera before stumbling upon a suicide victim hanging in a tree. The video, despite claims of demonetization, spurred heavy criticism for its seemingly exploitative and highly insensitive nature - especially considering Japan's historically high suicide rate.

Logan has since apologized, claiming he "didn't do it for the views," but the critical tweets - and memes - are still pouring in.
