The world had a collective freak out last night when Youtube experience a two-hour outage starting at 9pm EST - the longest outage that the streaming site has ever experienced. A veritable gold mine for content creators and consumers alike, netizens began freaking out quite promptly, taking to Twitter and Tumblr with their reactions and memes. The resulting mess makes it very, very evident that we could all probably use an internet detox. And yet here we are.
The Paul brothers have gotta be the internet's absolute most favorite hate-able duo. They've been involved in a whole host of scandals and accusations that would likely destroy literally anyone else's career. Somehow, these two have managed to come out on top through it all.
If you're a Logangster or a Jake Pauler, we're sorry, but we gotta roast these two and we sincerely hope you understand.
YouTube star Tana Mongeau held her first-ever fan convention, TanaCon, in Anaheim, California. The convention was created in retaliation against the famous annual YouTube convention VidCon. However, things went awry when a lot more people showed up than Mongeau expected - she stated that 15,000 fans began rushing the gates when she was only originally expecting 5,000. The event was eventually deemed a safety hazard and had to be shut down by the fire marshal.
Throughout all of the chaos, many fans were forced to wait outside for hours in the heat with no water or shade, and they were certainly not happy about it. Once fans did make it inside the venue, they weren't happy with the event itself either.
YouTuber Michelle Dione posted this video of a white woman calling the cops and asking a group of African American people to leave a park in Oakland, California where they were having a barbecue. The incident inspired people to make memes mocking the woman for racial profiling, using civil rights milestones.
