TikTok McDonald's Proposal Is A Perfect Example Of Wholesome Cringe

It's easy to laugh at pretty much anything on TikTok, especially anything involving relationships. But thanks to this garbage fire of a year, we're a little more accepting of cringe when it somehow manages to give us hope. TikTok user @liltransboykai shared a video that fits the bill yesterday - a clip of his coworker Willow proposing to his partner Akira. The whole thing goes down at work, which for these three happens to be a McDonald's. The video eventually made its way to Twitter, where users both mocked and praised it with a heavy dose of predictable sass. Though we enjoyed the laugh, we wish these two a happy future.

Avocado Proposals: The Millennial Trend That Makes Us Want To Exit Earth

Maybe millennials actually deserve the avocado toast prejudice that's been plaguing them. The Daily Dot and The Cut, among other publications, have been featuring this painfully twee proposal trend that seems to have started on Instagram. Shocker. The sites dug up avocado proposals from as long ago as last year - a sign that end of days is way, way overdue.

Trendiness aside, while we enjoy a good avocado every now and then, it doesn't really seem logical to serve up eternity with your partner in a (likely) browning and mushy fruit. Much of Twitter seems to agree.

Shane Birkinbine of Bentonville, Ark., used “Super Mario Maker,” to pull off all the stops in his pursuit toward marrying the love of his life. For those unaware, "Super Mario Maker" lets users create levels.

Birkinbine configured the levels to propose to his girlfriend Pam Edwards. As Brikinbine's girlfriend Pam Edwards played through the level, he directed her on how to proceed...

“It spells out your name, I think?” he says.

“How did you do that!” she shouts as the words “Pam, will you marry me? appear in blocks across the screen.

Edwards said 'yes' quickly followed by 'of course.' Birkinbine sealed the perfectly tailored proposal by presenting the ring on a mushroom.
