Last month we asked all of you to help us rank the best 2020 memes of the year. The memes were both depressing and relatable, a reflection of the year's bleak and soul-sucking vibes. From the Covid-19 pandemic and murder hornets to the hellish election in the United States, it really felt like someone upstairs (if you believe in that sort of thing) was pulling a cruel prank on us. But it's important to try to take the bad times with a sense of humor. And these are the memes that you, our loyal friends and followers, thought summed up the year the best. Here's to 2021. We know things aren't going to change immediately, but we damn, we deserve a break, don't we?
The week between Christmas and New Years is always a strange one; you're probably still reeling in the insanity of dealing with your stressful family and enjoying all your gifts. Regardless, try to enjoy the couple weeks where your boss is on vacation and won't notice you slacking off at work!
We wish we had come up with these, but alas, we are certainly not clever enough. It''s alright though, we'll just leave it to these clever Tumblr-dwellers to come up with material that consistently makes us chuckle. If you want even more Tumblr posts to make you chuckle, you won't be left hanging.
It's the beginning of the year and you know what that means: everyone's trying to act on their New Years resolution of getting in shape. Good on ya! And for the already-consistent gym-goers, try not to be too hard on people - everyone's gotta start somewhere! (Even if that means a more crowded gym unfortunately.)
You're lying to yourself if you think everything's going to be different in 2020.
