Despite what they might've told you in Sunday school, Satan apparently isn't all bad. At least, according to these memes which were inspired by the 2012 Disney movie Wreck-It Ralph. In this particular scene, Ralph attends a "bad-anon" meeting for video game villains, where he's comforted by a character named Saitine, mispronouncing his name as "Satan." The meme has been used to express gratitude for people and things that are usually bad.

It seems like a decade ago that we were lamenting the Sonic movie's terrible animation. Even the movie's February 14 release seems like it happened in another lifetime. But the film (which actually got solid reviews) has more to offer than 100 minutes of boredom-busting. It's inspired more than a few excellent dank memes, and the latest format features Jim Carrey as Sonic's nemesis, Robotnik. The meme remixes the classic Daily Struggle format by adding a panel of Robotnik eagerly selecting the negative red button. It's being used to mock everyone from gullible fake-news spreading aunts to gamers, and it's quickly becoming one of the more popular formats on Reddit. Some of our favorite content on the internet has to do with Lord of the Rings. And that's not terribly surprising. It seems that it's possible to relate pretty much any meme format to J.R.R. It really does seem like we keep having to check things off on a master list of hypothetical apocalyptic scenarios. First we had the Australian wildfires, then we almost got ourselves into a third world war, then a pandemic, then Chernobyl caught on fire, and the list goes on. This meme, from the movie The Emperor's New Groove, highlights all of those horrible things while simultaneously giving us a little chuckle. Good news for everyone stuck in lockdown: the internet is still hard at work producing dumb memes. This particular twitter meme riffs on posters that clearly misrepresent the plot of the film. From Brokeback Mountain to the incredibly sexual Short Bus, it seems some production companies go out of their way to mislead movie-goers. These observational tweets, while not offering anything groundbreaking, are the kind of dumb fun that we appreciate right now.
