Sixteen Corporate Memes For The Frustrated, Underpaid Workers

Let's just get this out of the way: corporate America is some BS. You work eight-plus hours per day for forty years (and probably even more if you're a Millennial!), and you may or may not get to retire (let's be honest, most likely not).

What is this all for? To be able to afford to exist and maybe take a vacation to see your parents once every two years! Alright, now back to work you slackers.

Let's be real for a second here: as Millennials, most of us will never amount to anything great because the Boomers left us in such shambles economically and otherwise. Hence the creation of the Twitter account Average Life Goals, which gives us some realistic life expectations that we can all aspire to.

Thirty-Three Mildly Amusing & Relatable Tweets

Reading sucks, but it's supposedly good for your brain. Realistically, we cannot be trusted to crack open a book and finish it, ever. Short internet articles are a little more reasonable, as are Instagram captions. And tweets. If you put all of these funny tweets together it's kind of like you read a book. At least that's what we're telling ourselves.

Millennials Mock The Elderly And Out-Of-Touch With 'OK Boomer' Memes

Millennials and Baby Boomers have been engaging in humorous back-and-forth banter for quite some time now, but we're beginning to think that these "OK Boomer" memes mark the start of a full-on war between the generations. We're not saying that we think bullying is okay, however, there's only so much climate-change denial and sh*t-talking about avocado toast that a person is willing to take.

And perhaps the Millennials have reached their limit.

Sixteen Millennial Memes For The Lovers Of Avocado Toast

Some say that the Millennial generation's greatest contribution to society has been memes, and honestly we can't say we disagree. That might sound silly to people who are members of older generations, but young people know the importance of memes in today's dismal world. Memes are an art form, dammit.

Fourteen Glorious Times Baby Boomers Got Put In Their Place By Millennial 'Snowflakes'

For a generation that completely destroyed the economy and the environment, Baby Boomers sure do like to talk a whole lot of sh*t about Millennials. Sometimes you just need some schadenfreude-heavy posts to remind you who the real worst generation is.

And at the end of the day, us young people will always have the last laugh in knowing that the old people can't even log into their Hotmail accounts without our help.

Millennial Teacher Goes Viral For Amazing Meme-y Hall Passes

We love that teachers and professors have been getting creative with memes in the classroom. It's important to stay current, and using humor to connect with students is an amazing way to earn their respect. Twitter user and teacher @theyloveNoonie has definitely scored an A+ in this area by making these amazing "Ight Imma Head Out" Spongebob meme hall passes, and the internet is responding with a whole lot of admiration and respect. It's one thing to teach a college course in memes, but we think that adding spice to classroom mundanity via memesis even cooler.

The #MillennialRetirementPlans Hashtag Game Is Both Hilarious And Horribly Depressing

We love an innocent hashtag game as much as the next bored internet user, but @Radstags had us feeling all kinds of weird with their latest roundup. The account, which is pretty much dedicated to such games, asked millennials to share their retirement plans on Twitter and the results were anything but wholesome. They range from pretty self-aware self-owns to the incredibly sobering reality that many millennials will be in debt until they day they die.

Entitled Influencer Asks For Free Hotel Stay, Gets Told Off By Hotel Owner

We know that Millennials aren't all entitled cheapskates (we are Millennials after all) but we have to say that people like British YouTuber Elle Darby make us look really bad.

Darby requested via email a free five-night stay for her and her boyfriend at a hotel in Ireland. Instead of paying the hotel, she would give the business "exposure" - the hotel owner was certainly having none of that and replied to her with a snarky email, which he has since published online. He even went on to ban all social media influencers from his places of business.

Do you think the hotel owner's response was fair or did it go too far? Let us know in the comments!
