IHOb Just Revealed What The 'B' Stands For And Nobody's Into It

The restaurant formerly known as the International House Of Pancakes made waves last week after announcing a name change to "IHOb." The chain remained coy about what the "b" stands for - until today. The answer, much to the internet's chagrin, is burgers.

We reported this "intel" last week after a couple IHOP insiders reported the beefy news. The restaurant is looking to remind people that they serve lunch and dinner, and have added several new burgers to their breakfast-y menu. So far, the internet has reacted with disbelief, confusion and anger. People who love IHOP apparently go there for the breakfast food - and are feeling pretty B-etrayed.

While we're not sure if the burgers will take off the way IHOP is hoping, we do have good news for the House of Pancakes purists - that P isn't actually going anywhere.

IHOP Just Changed Its Name And The Internet Is Freaking Out

Humans have a tendency to take things for granted, and now we can add IHOP to the list of things we should have appreciated while we had the chance. The pancake flippin' breakfast chain is making waves after coyly announcing they would be changing their name to "IHOB." The chain has remained very purposefully mum on the reasoning behind the switch. Naturally, they've both caused (and encouraged) speculation.

While people and brands took to Twitter to figure out what the 'b' stands for, a couple people have claimed to have intel on the matter. It seems the 'b' may stand for 'burger.' If that's the case, it would seem that the world is abuzz over something that is actually quite anticlimactic - IHOP has been serving burgers for a very long time. We're hoping for something cooler, like BLOOD, or BOOBS. What's your money on?

McDonald's Asked People to Invent Their Own Burgers Because Apparently They've Never Been on the Internet Before

A major corporation runs a campaign to let people on the internet be a little creative with their brand and said campaign fails spectacularly because people are awful. Sound familiar? It's a tale as old as time. Or at least as old as Wifi. This time the social media screw up is burger themed, YUM!

The Internet Showed Their Sympathy With Memes When Only One of Pawpaw's Grandkids Came Over for Burgers

Twitter user @kalssseyharmon shared her lonely cookout with her Grandfather, lovingly dubbed "Pawpaw" on Twitter. The internet was suddenly reminded to call their own grandparents so, instead they Tweeted about how sad this Pawpaw situation made them. After all, no one should have to cook 12 burgers just to have one person show up.

Burger King wants to "end the beef" between themselves and McDonald's (for just one day, at one special location) in honor of the International Day of Peace. Because, you know, nothing says peace like a frankenburger. Ah, capitalism. Here's their proposal:

In honor of Peace Day, September 21st, Burger King is inviting McDonald's to team up to create the McWhopper — a burger built for world peace. If they say yes, we’ll mark this ‘burger wars” ceasefire with a one day pop-up McWhopper shop in Atlanta on Peace Day, halfway between our two headquarters.

Would you eat a McWhopper in the name of peace?

Update: Looks like you won't have to eat one, because McDonald's has declined Burger King's offer with a Facebook post that can only be described as a sick burn:
