Here's an interesting bit of historical trivia: George Washington helped raise step-children from wife Martha Washington's previous marriage, but the two never had biological children since George was likely left sterile after a bout of smallpox. Of course, we're pretty sure George was incredibly sad about this too, but these memes paint him as absent and Martha as baby-crazy. Despite their historical inaccuracy, we found them hilarious, and we're pretty sure you will too.

Object labeling memes have been making waves for a while, from Distracted Boyfriend to Cracking Open A Cold One With The Boys. The ease of the format has led to some seriously viral memes. Its latest manifestation uses dramatic, dark and violent fantasy paintings to humorously describe some pretty average situations.
We've always been pretty damn into Disney, but the older we get the more we wish the movies (we know they're for kids) had a little more edge. While that wish hasn't exactly come true, Swedish artist Daniel Bork has come pretty close to mimicking it. The illustrator, who gets inspiration from 80's and 90's subculture, has been inserting Disney characters into his renditions of classic horror film posters. The results shout out some of our favorite cartoons and movies in an incredibly creepy way. We've put some of our favorites into this gallery, but you should check out more of Bork's work (and give him a follow) on his Instagram.

Ladies and gents, come one, come all - you're all welcome to the makeup gang. F*ck the haters who tell you they "prefer the natural look." We all know what that means anyway. If you just can't seem to stay away from that eyebrow pencil and liquid liner (or even if you're just learning!), then these memes are for you!
Hooray, we have even more makeup memes for the complete addicts who can't get enough!
As another terrible Tuesday comes to an end, let us give thanks to the good stuff we take for granted. Good tunes. Having toilet paper. Being able to leave the house. Not having to buy exorbitantly priced hand sanitize. And memes. During times of trouble, it's easy to forget how integral memes are for our mental health. So here's a bunch of random posts that made us smile. Keep your chins up, buddies.
Want to laugh but also feel the tiniest bit intelligent while you're at it? These memes will do the trick. It's no history-meme gallery, but classical art memes will definitely make you feel the tiniest bit cultured. Probably.
And while you're at it, have some more! You won't be sorry.
Storyboard artist Jeff Hong considers himself privileged to have worked on animated classics such as Hercules, Mulan, and The Emperor's New Groove. Though a rabid Disney fan, Hong has gained some notoriety for his dark series Unhappily Ever After, which superimposes Disney characters into some depressing and sobering situations. It's a good reminder that reality doesn't involve a happy fairy tale ending. And that we can still do things to make the future just a little bit brighter.
