This Newly Found Electric Eel Was a Shock For Scientists

For years, scientists knew little about the elusive and dangerous electric eels. Finding a home in the Amazon, these eels have been known as one species. But recently, scientists discovered they are not one, but three distinct species. In addition, a newly discovered species Electrophorus voltai, is shockingly powerful, with shocks measured at 860 volts, well over the previous record of 650. But why are these eels so special? And are they really "eels"?

Nothing to See Here, Just a Person Running Like an Anime Character Near Area 51

Well its finally here. The time has come to "Raid Area 51." With over 2 million "confirmed attending," even the town nearby had a $250,000 emergency contingency fund set up to deal with the influx of people to the town of 50 people. However, as usual, the nest laid plans of mice and men are doomed to fail. And in this case there was never any raid.

The page was set up as a meme, and simply became so viral that it spiraled out of control. However that doesn't mean it's still just a desert wasteland. Over 3000 people arrived to the area near Area 51, and it has turned into a nerdy music festival, with a lot of tinfoil hats. But luckily, people like this guy in the background were still training for the day maybe they will invade Area 51.

Astronaut Nick Hague Took a Time Lapse of the Earth From the ISS And This Is What He Saw

By far the best views of Earth are not stunning sunsets artificially created by Snapchat or Instagram filters. It isn't on top of a mountain looking down at the world below. It is from space. And anyone who has been there will tell you, there's nothing that comes close. IF you're still skeptical, you need to check out these time-lapse visuals taken from the International Space Station by Astronaut Nick Hague.

Though the time-lapse is a huge blow for the Flat-Earth movement, because its pretty clear from the video, its round. Maybe we can go back to deciding if the dress is blue or yellow?

This Low Cost Version of The Matrix is Pure Gold (Ten GIFs)

There's no doubt that The Matrix is one of the best films ever made. Released in 1999, visual effects of such high quality were virtually unseen before. But would The Matrix be as good if it's visual effects weren't as good? After watching Studio 188's low cost version of The Matrix, we can say, YES. This low budget version of the classic is as good (or better?) than the original, purely because of the creativity that went into recreating The Matrix on a low, low budget. And it will have you crying with laughter. This will make your week.

Here's Something Not See Everyday - A Caribou Scratching an Itch on his Foot with his Antlers

Now that's what can be called ingenious use of what's available to you to solve a problem. This caribou is super resourceful. Sometimes you get that itch that you just cant manage to scratch. We need various back-scratchers to reach those difficult spots. But not this guy. This caribou has massive antlers that serve the same purpose. Talk about cost-cutting measures.

This was captured by local conservation workers in Denali, Alaska, and is a very rare occurrence to catch.

Remember Remember the 21st of September

Demi Adejuyigbe is a television writer from shows ranging from The Late Late Show with James Corden to the Gilmore Girls Reboot. But his claim to fame has nothing to do with his credits. Back in 2016, he tweeted a dance on September 21st to the Earth Wind and Fire classic "September," which went viral on Twitter, and gathered nearly 400,000 views on YouTube. Fast forward to 2018, and the annual viral tradition gained 1 million views within a year. And now, we have the incredible sequel, which has reached over 1.2 million views in just 1 day

Stay tuned in 2050 when it becomes the most watched video on YouTube within an hour of its release.

This Low Cost Version Of Titanic Is Hilarious (Ten GIFs)

Ah, Titanic. A classic, romantic and heart-breaking movie that will go down in history as one of the most unforgettable films. But what if it was made with a very, very low budget? That's exactly what the guys over at Studio 188 wondered too. So they made it: a low cost version of Titanic. And it is (sorry James Cameron) way, way better than the original. Mostly because it had us crying tears of laughter for the whole 2:48 of the video. This will be the funniest thing you see all month. Guaranteed.
