Landon Donovan dropped a thinly veiled reference to USMNT boss Jurgen Klinsmann leaving him off the World Cup roster in 2014 allegedly because of Donovan's age, praising veteran 35-year-old women's team veteran Abby Wambach despite the fact that she only played 10 minutes during the team's 2-0 over Germany on Tuesday. ESPN commentator Alexei Lalas fired back at Donovan with this zinger:
