Your excuses are dwindling, you console hold outs.

Sony announced a permanent price cut for the Playstation 4 Oct. 8, lowering it to $349.99. That puts it on the same footing as Microsoft's Xbox One.

Since Sony's console has led this generation so far, it'll be interesting to see whether that lead will increase with the price drop or whether they cut it because of slipping ground.

Kotaku reported on it this morning:

Starting October 9, the PlayStation 4 will be a little cheaper in the U.S. and Canada. Oh goodie.

The PS4, which is currently $399.99 USD, will be marked down to $349.99 in the U.S., while in Canada, the console, which now costs $449.99 CAD, will be marked down to $429.99.

This appears to be for the 500GB HDD PlayStation 4 and follows hot on the heels of a price cut Japan got earlier this month.

It seems like it's been a while since the great Bloodborne's February release and we're certainly looking for a reason to return to Yarnham.

Luckily, the game's first DLC expansion, called The Old Hunters, was announced on the Playstation blog Sept. 15.

Set in a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to overcome. You'll find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your arsenal as well as additional magic to wield and add more variety to your combat strategy.

With new story details, learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their hunting grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne. Here's a brief glimpse of just some of what lies in store for you when The Old Hunters launches on November 24th, including Simon's Bowblade weapon, and new boss enemy Ludwig.

The Old Hunters will release on Nov. 24 for $19.99, only on Playstation 4.

News of the Street Fighter V roster has been a slow drip that will probably continue until the game releases in spring 2016, but the latest will surely make that wait even longer for some fans of the fighting series.

The Official Playstation Blog, too excited to contain themselves, announced that Vega will return with his mask and three-pronged claw for the next Street Fighter iteration.

A mainstay in the franchise since his introduction in Street Fighter II, Vega believes that beauty is the truest form of strength and that he alone is the epitome of perfection. The mask he wears serves to protect his face from the blood of his victims, and his deadly three-pronged claw ensures he is able to dish out pain from a safe distance away. Learning ninjutsu at a young age from a Japanese acquaintance, Vega quickly shot up the ranks in Shadaloo, eventually becoming one of the four bosses of the criminal organization.

...[H]e now has the ability to sheathe his claw during battle in exchange for new moves, such as a command grab, as well as new attack properties, greatly changing the way he approaches each fight. Knowing when to toggle between the two styles will be the key to success, and it also allows for new combo possibilities. Conversely, Vega will no longer be able to pick up his claw once it's knocked off, so knowing how to fight without the claw is a must!

Capcom has only announced 10 of the 16 total launch characters so far with Vega joining Ken, Ryu, Chun-LI, Nash, M. Bison, Cammy, Birdie and Necalli. Four characters will be completely new to the series.

The announcement might have been a way to take attention from the disappointing beta over the July 25 weekend that kept the vast majority of players from testing the game.

For all of you Xbox One owners out there, Sony has bought exclusivity rights. So the only way you're going to play it is by buying a Playstation 4. Does Vega make it worth it for you?
