Just about everything is a little bit of a racket. Hell, if everything was sold at cost, there'd be no reason for anyone to run a business. It's when businesses use brand sway and deceitful practices to drive insane markups that things start to seem unfair and hairy. Even if you are spending a lot on movie theater sodas and designer eyeglasses, at least you're not following these bits of the dumbest financial advice people have gotten. On the other side of it, here are reckless uses of money that people didn't regret at all.
It feels weird knowing there are bosses out there who will want you to pay them for the opportunity to work. Or that there are customers out there who will try to return shoes three years after they bought them. It's rare stuff, but boy is it hard to wrap your head around entitled people and their demanding boldness.
If there's ever a time to show your worth at a company, it's when you're not around to put out all the fires. This boss just had to have his vacation exactly when he wanted, even if that meant screwing over his employee. His poorly timed request for new passwords ensured things wouldn't run smoothly when the employee ended up taking a break. For another boss that did it to themselves, here's an employee who derailed their incompetent boss by working their scheduled hours.
