In this day and age, it's not surprising if someone you meet can speak two or more languages. We, however, have barely mastered the absolute intricacies of the English language. Maybe Duolingo can help us become the polyglots we've always wanted to be. In the meantime, we'll focus on the funny aspects of language, with these memes, tweets, and comics.
Neil deGrasse Tyson has another bone to pick with the English speaking world. The scientist took to Twitter last week to bemoan the way we've learned to use the word "awesome."
"In my day, the word "Awesome" was reserved for things like curing Polio and walking on the Moon, not for food or TV shows."
While we agree the word is probably a bit overused, this seems like a pretty nitpicky hot take. And Twitter seems to agree.
