In this day and age, every brand and their mom is on social media. It's completely imperative when trying to drive engagement and develop an identity for your business. While most brands have gotten pretty good at the whole social media game, there are definitely certain accounts that do it better than others. These are their stories.

Wendy's became somewhat of a social media phenomenon this year thanks to their former social media manager, Amy Brown. Brown employed a youthful, sassy and sarcastic tone as the head of social media. People really started to take notice when Brown took downan internet troll who didn't believe that Wendy's uses fresh (and not frozen) beef. 

The savagery continued even after Brown left the company.  "Smug Wendy's" blew up so much this year that Wendy became a sort of sex symbol. The fan art is where things got really weird. At least we have our comedically gifted fast food twitter in such trying and unpredictable times. Of all the tweets we're about to cruise through, I've gotta pass the MVP award to Wendy's at this point, man. The sheer brutality meets locker-room kind of banter they've had runnin amok across my twitter feed as of late is a solid testament to social media marketing done right.
