Beginning in 1975 with Chevy Chase as the original news anchor, the Weekend Update is the show's longest-running segment, and is even said to be the birth place of the satirical news sketch for the likes of the Colbert Report and The Daily Show.

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards took place this weekend and the comedic duo of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey has done it again! Comedic stunts such as "accidentally" mispronouncing Tom Hanks' name and a timely impression of Michael Bay kept the laughter rolling all night.
