People Discuss Acts That Are Supposedly Sexy But Aren't

Every day we are barraged with images of sex selling us commodities and ideas. Viral images and media tell us what is 'sexy,' but the real life manifestations of these supposed turn-ons are often just weird and awkward. Of course beach sex looks like the perfect fantasy when it's filmed at dusk with a shallow-focus lens on a miraculously empty, windless shore, but in reality, the logistical challenges of such an operation are enough to turn someone off.

One redditor asked the internet to share examples of things that are supposed to turn us on, but are actually pretty un-sexy in reality, and the resulting thread is hilarious. Whether you find these responses relatable, inaccurate, or revelatory, they're sure to at least be entertaining.

Woman Leaves Husband In Grocery Store For Literally Acting Like A Toddler

We all get comfortable in relationships and say some cringe things in jest, but some people take it wayyy too far. A distraught woman asked Reddit if she was the asshole for leaving her husband in the grocery store after he quite literally acted like a toddler and demanded ice cream in a baby voice. OP u/smallslicedskin further explained that this wasn't an isolated incident. Apparently, her husband had been incessantly using meme-speak like 'doggo,' 'pupper,' 'chicky nuggies,' and 'birb' for months. The bizarre affectation that had been driving OP bonkers caused her to finally snap in the grocery store and subsequently turn to Reddit for help. Scroll down for her story and some of the best responses in the thread

Times People Became The Very Thing They Swore To Destroy

Was there ever a time in your life when you realized you became the very thing you swore to destroy? Imagine someone spending most of their life despising all landlords until one day they come into a bit of cash and decide to invest in some property. Well the property tax is pretty steep, so they offset the financial burden by renting out the basement. Boom: they're now the thing they always hated. One may have strong views about things that feel pretty rigid, until that person's frame of reference changes slightly and their whole world view is turned upside down. One redditor asked people to recount times they become the thing they swore to destroy, and the answers are pretty entertaining.

Straight Men Express How They'd Feel About Their Girl Being Dominant

r/AskReddit can often be an entertaining pandora's box of cringe, wholesomeness, and wild imagination. We're focusing on an active thread started by redditor u/NeuroMajorDepressed when they posted the question: 'How would you feel if your girl grabbed you by the waist, lifted you up, and pushed you against the wall and gave you a kiss.' This thread turned out to be pretty wholesome and positive in general, with lots of straight men agreeing that they desire physical shows of love and affection (with consent, of course), and women admitting that they've tried this before. Take a look at the best tidbits we've collected from the thread

Ordinary People Share Creepy & Unexplained Experiences

Whether or not you believe in things like aliens or ghosts, there's no doubt that abnormal, unexplainable experiences are pretty damn unsettling. Where does the fear come from? That chill you feel when you suddenly hear or see something out of the ordinary. Is it superstitious fear of something supernatural or is it simply fear of the unknowable? It seems like we humans are easily unnerved by the things we can't explain and have no control over. But these feelings can also be pretty vicariously exhilarating. Why else would horror and mystery be such popular genres in fiction?

We're stoked that u/LBE asked redditors to share their own spooky experiences because these strange stories from ordinary people gave us quite a thrill. If you're into unsolved mysteries and unexplained phenomena, you might be into this unsettling Reddit thread.
