We've been seeing a lot of Last Jedi memes in the months since its release, which almost makes up for how "meh" we found the film to be.This particular example has been kicking around since the film's first trailer. The meme uses a quote of Luke uttering "I've seen this raw strength only once before" to mock characters that most people would be decidedly unafraid of.
Say what you will about The Last Jedi - one thing's for sure. It has brought us a whole lotta sick memes. Right now we're seeing this object labeling meme all over reddit. The format features Rey shooting down three Tie Fighter ships - with the ships representing anything (literally anything) people want to abolish from their lives or society. We're currently seeing it used for easy political commentary and self-deprecating jokes, but the possibilities are truly endless with this one. Try out the template we provide below. There are a lot of things we'd like to rid from the universe, and we imagine you're all of the same mindset.
-Minimal Spoilers-
There's absolutely no shortage of dank Star Wars memes on the internet, and we are pleased to announce that The Last Jedi has inspired a new one. When Yoda appears to Luke Skywalker and sets fire to ancient Jedi writings, Luke becomes perplexed, exclaiming "The sacred texts!" Yoda meant to show Luke that the texts themselves were meaningless. Redditors have taken that sentiment and twisted it into some pretty silly memes.
Is nothing sacred? The Last Jedi gave us a cute Star Wars species to gush over and then someone releases photos of baby porg toys and ruins everything. This is like if Diglett and Exeggcute had a freaky baby and it was actually one million years old. They're like mini Sloths from the Goonies.
We've already heard that porgs can be food, but after seeing these photos we imagine they'd be safe from most harm. Appetites have definitely been lost over less.
The title of the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII has been revealed to be 'The Last Jedi'. People are extremely worried about exactly what that means, and rightfully so.
Who is the last Jedi? Is it Luke? Is he going to die? Are there multiple last Jedi? Why is there that ominous red text?
We wouldn't be surprised if Carrie Fisher's passing has made the writers decide to just kill off all of the original cast. However, we can't help but feel that the last Jedi will be Luke after Rey falls to the dark side.
