If you've noticed that people on Twitter debating the creation of sex, you'd best believe there's nothing scientific about their hypotheses. Earlier this week, @livingforjc tweeted that "Sex was created by God, for marriage, between a husband and wife. Not for a boyfriend and girlfriend that are dating". The musing from this obviously religious account quickly became fodder for our new favorite Twitter meme. People have been riffing on the purity-driven tweet by claiming that sex was invented by their favorite musicians (One Direction is extremely present in this meme), or, say, by the extremely horny God Zeus. Most of these tweets are gold, but we've put together the cream of the crop for you to sift through.
