There's no doubt about it, bodies are extremely weird. Just when you thought you had the whole being alive thing down, they throw you a curveball in the shape of a mysterious ailment.
Perhaps one of the biggest offenders when it comes to body WTFery is the reproductive system. If Yahoo Answers (RIP) was anything to go by, sex ed is not a strong point of the school curriculum in most places.
This is something that can be easy to take advantage of, as Tiktoker @dfinkk discovered recently. Many people didn't know how to react after she made a video stripping her face of what looked suspiciously like a peelable facemask. "Throwback to when men didn't know we had to peel off layers of our skin after our period", explains the voiceover.
Despite the claim being completely outlandish, the comment section was filled with people praising her for speaking up, comparing skincare products to help and even discussing what they did with the skin afterwards. Predictably enough, this led to many also questioning why it had never happened to them or apologetically admitting they had never known about it.
When the clip made it onto Twitter, you might have thought the ruse was up — but nope, there were just as many people adamant that this was a monthly struggle, or responding with shock and sympathy.
While it might now be hard to believe, having a working uterus doesn't usually turn someone into a lizard. However, as this video has proved, it gives a great excuse for trolling.
