The Shadow Team Gets Roasted For Being Shady During The Iowa Caucus

Meet the Shadow team in charge of developing an app meant to help tally the votes from the Iowa caucus on Monday night. The purpose of the app was to help the process run more smoothly, but in the end it proved to be a complete and utter disaster, as precinct chairs supposedly couldn't get the app to actually work, in turn causing a delay in reporting.

The delay was blamed on "inconsistencies" in reporting, but honestly, who really knows what the truth is.

The team is reportedly run by people who worked on Hilary Clinton's presidential campaign in 2016. Additionally, 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg's campaign paid the tech firm over $40,000 in 2019 leading many to suspect foul play.

But this is America, and we can't possibly have problems with corruption, right?

As of right now, we still don't have all the results from the caucus, so while you continue to anxiously refresh the New York Times page, have some hot Twitter takes on the people (rats) behind Shadow, Inc.

Shady Business Practices Acted Out In A Scene In 'It's Always Sunny'

Who woulda thought that a scene in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia could sum up sketchy employer behaviors so well? The scene involves Dennis describing to Mac how employers make overtime work seem necessary because of the "implication" that they could get fired if they don't partake. We've all been there.

Amazon Gets Roasted For Creating Fake Twitter Accounts To Hide Its Sketchy Working Conditions

Apparently we're actually living in George Orwell's 1984

Amazon has come under fire for allegedly creating fake Twitter accounts (under the name "Amazon FC Ambassador") to silence any criticism of the working conditions of its fulfillment centers which, if you're unaware, are known for being particularly sweatshop-like.

Recently various Twitter users have called out Amazon for this...bizarre (to say the least) behavior.

So without further ado, here are some of the best parodies and examples of the creepy Orwellian tweets!

DoorDash Proves It's Shady AF In This Incredibly Frustrating Text Message Thread

If you've ever felt frustrated by your employer's business practices then this story involving an irritated DoorDash employee and customer service might make you feel a little less bad about your own situation.

DoorDash is known for having a sketchy tipping policy, which includes paying employees (known as "Dashers") a guaranteed amount of money per delivery based on the conditions of each delivery. The issue here is that the company pockets any customer tips that put the sum above that guaranteed amount.

This employee, Carlos, decided to call out the food delivery company for underpaying him and of course, DoorDash did everything in its power to try and stop that.

The moral of the story? Maybe take your business to a different food delivery company next time, or tip your driver in cash!

On Tuesday, when the RNC changed the rules to unseat delegates for Ron Paul, John Boehner called for a vote. Turns out the desired result was already in the teleprompter before the vote even happened.
