The apocalypse is well underway.
Quarantine is a pain in many ways. But it's also great time to binge-watch and indulge marathons of your favorite movies. As it feels like it's been an eternity since there were any Marvel releases (we hope we can still look forward to Black Widow) we've been having enjoying previous movies on Disney+. And that's made us crave some quality Marvel memes. So we put this gigantic gallery together to satisfy our urges and to help lessen your withdrawal. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
In super-cringey Coronavirus news, Gal Gadot seems to have done the unthinkable. After sharing a cringey video of celebrities singing John Lennon's 'Imagine,' it seems people on Twitter have put down their digital pitchforks to agree on one thing: The video is absolutely terrible.
The cover is comprised of stars such as Amy Adams, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig singing (often poorly) from their manses and gardens. It's a pretty tone deaf attempt at bringing people together, and folks on Twitter were more than happy to share their distaste. If SNL were still operating, maybe we'd get a decent parody. But for now, we're relying on netizens to roast the crap out of the video, and they're doing a damn good job.
We've been inundated with Avengers: Endgame memes for over a month, and we're happy to report that there's finally one making the rounds that doesn't involve Josh Brolin's Thanos. These memes focus instead on the Hulk and Thor, played by Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth. The photos used are of Hulk trying out the Infinity gauntlet and Thor giving him two thumbs up when it actually works. It's mostly being used to illustrate situations in which people are impressed by feats that are decidedly unimpressive. Here are our favorites.
We don't see Avengers memes coming to a halt any time soon, but honestly we're really okay with that because they just continue to be fire. This time it's a scene in Endgame in which The Hulk utters the words "I see this as an absolute win," which - shocker - memers have been going crazy over.
Side note: number 11 low-key blew our minds.
In an AMA Mark Ruffalo was asked "Who's your favorite Pokémon?"
Here was his response, "Squirtle. For some reason that was the first Pokemon I got on my Gameboy, when I was playing it - they would give you 2 different ones, Charmander or Squirtle, and I started with Squirtle, so I have a warm place in my heart for Squirtle."
