They did Mace Windu dirty with this one!
We're suckers for a good prequel meme, and we're way overdue for a feature on this Mace Windu format. The meme features Samuel L. Jackson's character shouting "He's too dangerous to be left alive" in Revenge of the Sith. The moment is generally paired with moments of minor genius, or, sarcastically, moments of absolute stupidity. We've put together a ton of educational examples, but you can learn more about this format over at Know Your Meme. Happy scrolling!
Well, we've got to add this one to the list of meme mashups that seriously surprised us but work extremely well. The photo used for the meme is from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, a scene during which Mace Windu confronts Emperor Palpatine. In this meme, however, Palpatine is replaced by a very unthreatening image of Wallace from the Wallace and Gromit series of movies. The juxtaposition is hilariously absurd, perfect for self-deprecating memes. We've put our favorites in this gallery, but you can read more about this meme over at Know Your Meme.
May the fourth be with you! For some people, every single day is Star Wars Day. This is definitely true for the memers over at r/prequelmemes. The Reddit community churns out Star Wars prequel content like a well-oiled...droid. Most of the memes, like these fresh posts below, are very, very, very dumb. And that's the way we like it.
Star Wars prequels memes are some of the best the fandom has to offer. The date June 6th (6/6) has a very special meaning to the r/prequelmemes subreddit. It's a nod to Order 66 - the order that led to the fall of the Jedi. What better way to celebrate this important day than with a massive dump of hilarious Star Wars memes?
The multi-talented Donald Glover hosted Saturday Night Live last night, and Star Wars fans will be happy to know that his Lando made an appearance as well. In the skit, the smooth-talking leader of Cloud City is holding a summit to honor all of the black humans in space. There's just one problem: he is one of just four. Glover's portrayal of the former smuggler is absolute perfection, leaving us even more stoked for Solo's late May release.
