Hey, sometimes parents gotta be crafty with some little white lies.
Hey, sometimes parents gotta be crafty with some little white lies.
Unless you were born yesterday, most of us can agree that the easiest place to lie is the internet. These aspiring deceivers did a really, really, bad job at pulling the wool over the internet's eyes - and got called out for it. Seeing these losers brought to justice made our day, and we hope it makes yours.
These pics range from mildly disappointing to downright infuriating. We've all been in that situation where we open the bag of potato chips and it ends up being only one-third full - these pics play off of that feeling that we all know and loathe.
When it comes down to it, life is all a lie and you should just never trust anyone.
We've been talking a lot about Avengers: Endgame memes, but today we wanted to show some love to one of our favorite Thanos memes of all time. This particular Avengers meme comes from 2018's Infinity War, when Thanos reveals that his possession of the reality stone allows him to alter actuality. The line lend itself to all the more human ways we flex control over our situations, from simply lying to psychedelic drug use. The meme's versatility and relatability made it an instant hit, and a format that we can see ourselves using for years to come.
We've all been fooled by someone else's bullsh*t at one point or another - and we're kind of ashamed to say that some of us get fooled regularly as adults too. But even so, we can rest assured that we're not one of these Twitter users who believed some pretty outrageous things!
The three Golden Rules with regard to lying are as follows: if you're going to tell a flat-out lie, a.) at least make sure you can deliver it convincingly, b.) lie about something worthwhile, and c.) make sure no one can easily fact check you on that sh*t!
These lying liars apparently didn't get the memo, and as a result they got rightfully called the eff out!
Nickelodeon's iCarly has been popular with netizens for a very, very long time. This trending meme is no different. The meme uses a scene in which Spencer, Carly's brother, attempts to ignore the fact that he is very obviously harboring an ostrich. The stills were begging to be meme'd, and make for a highly exploitable object labeling format. We all know humans love to fib, so there's really no shortage of examples here. We've rounded up the best of the best, but you can see more niche examples over at Know Your Meme.
