It should come as no surprise that raccoons have a pretty intense fanbase. The masked bandits are incredibly cute, they're wily, and there never seems to be any shortage of hilarious trash panda videos on the web. It makes sense that they'd have a very big following in the meme community as well. These memes, which range from pleasant and adorable, to dark or nihilistic, are pretty great proof of that. And if you're as fond of raccoons as we are, they might just make your day a little better.
Instagram memelord @middleclassfancy figured out a long time ago that the banality of suburbia and the absurd mundanities of existence are total meme fodder, and we couldn't be more pleased. Under this 'middle class fancy' theme, the meme possibilities are endless. From dad jokes to normie problems, these memes are both relatable to a huge sector of the population and amusingly novel to coastal city-slickers. Crack open a cold one with the boys and enjoy some 'middle class fancy' memes.
Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are great ways to find deals or unload that crap you just don't want to be around anymore. You can find everything from gently used electronics to homecooked meals and designer handbags. You can also find a whole lot of cringey and hilarious items that offer more comedic value than they do usefulness. The r/CrackheadCraigslist is absolutely brimming with these kinds of questionable ads. While some of these images are very clearly the work of clever pranksters, some of them have us concerned for the sanity of their posters. Either way, we're just glad they exist.
It's time to take a little trip down memory lane, courtesy of our new favorite Twitter account, @OldMemeArchive. Thought the account has only been around since January 14th, it already boasts an incredible wealth of vintage (and mostly cringey) memes that Zoomers might not really understand. The memes and rage comics are a serious blast from the past, and a great reminder of why Impact font has reached peak irony. We've put a bunch of our favorite (and cringiest) macros in this list, but give the account a follow if you find yourself craving more. They post constantly and their prolificity is much appreciated.
'When neighbors start talking, good things happen.' What might have seemed like a sensible slogan at the time, now feels more like the punchline to the fantastic accidental comedy of Nextdoor. We're eternally grateful for Twitter account @bestofnextdoor, who does a killer job documenting all the hilarious little moments that happen on the app and would otherwise stay in that context. Sometimes it's fun to elevate the minutiae and pettiness of everyday life. We' sure got a few chuckles out of this batch of Nextdoor gems.
We've got memes for all occasions in this goodie bag of internet treats. Feeling sad because everyday feels a little more futile than the last? Try some memes. Bored out of your mind even though there are a million tasks you have yet to complete? Memes to the rescue. Wishing you had some company but you can't hang out with anyone because of the plague? Memes are your friends.
If you're not familiar with the Lamar Roasts Franklin scene in GTA V, all the "yee yee ass haircut" memes must have you a bit puzzled. Thankfully, the knowledgeable meme archivists of Know Your Meme have put together this handy dandy explainer video for those of you who need a little demystification.
Happy Friday! While it has definitely been hard to avoid some of this week's trending memes (cough Bernie Sanders cough), it's sometimes nice to take a look at the best dank memes that have popped up on Reddit over the last 7 days. That's why we are here to bring you "The Dank Drop." Unfortunately for some of you, a couple of the week's best memes were inspired by Wednesday's Inauguration, but there are still a ton of apolitical, stupid, spicy, and relatable memes to enjoy along the way. And if you crave more dankness, check out last week's list. We've got lots more where these came from.
Ever see a meme or tweet that while cursed or coy, was actually 100% true? If not, we're happy to introduce you to r/technicallythetruth. The subreddit is jam-packed with clever, smug, and sometimes unintentional sentiments that can't be argued with. While they may not be revolutionary, and some of the memes might be dumb, they're pretty damn entertaining. We've put together some of their latest and greatest arguably true tidbits for your perusal.
Happy Friday, y'all. You've officially made it through another week in hell on planet Earth! Unfortunately for many of us, it's kind of difficult to celebrate the end of a grueling workweek thanks to Covid-19. The only respite we have (besides, like, Netflix and going outdoors for "walks") comes in the form of memes. And we're bringing a whole lot of 'em straight to you.
Ever hear of Rule 34? According to Know Your Meme. Rule 34 "is an Internet adage in the "Rules of the Internet" list of protocols and conventions which asserts that "if something exists, there is porn of it." The same pretty much goes for starter pack memes. While they're incredibly specific, it feels like there's a starter pack meme for pretty much everything. This hefty collection of incredibly accurate starter packs is damn good proof.
