Since 'Kyle' memes have been blowing up all over the internet, we wanted to show some respect to Karen memes, the first Caucasian K-named stereotypes to steal our hearts. These manager-lovin' memes really never get old.
Congratulations on making it through another brutal 2020 Monday. As a reward for simply managing to exist during these bleak times, we've put together a hefty batch of memes with your name on it. They're dumb, they're funny, they're relatable, and they're here to improve your mood. What are you waiting for?
Covid-19 has probably changed the lives of most people in the United States at this point. With cases going up every day, the CDC - and most government officials - have been urging citizens to opt out of large family Thanksgivings and stick to celebrating with the people we already live with. While it's pretty clear that having a big family get-together, some people have been very vocal about how they're not about to let fear win. And according to airline records, millions of Americans have decided to travel against the CDC's advice. There are, however, many meme makers and Twitter users who are actually celebrating the opportunity to skip the often obligatory holiday for once. The ability to mute ones more annoying relatives on Zoom makes it all sound worthwhile. To celebrate this century's bleakest Thanksgiving, we've put together this gallery of memes and tweets that truly, well, say it all. And while we're enjoying laughing about the madness, we truly do wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Stay healthy, y'all.
While the rest of the world gets back to daily life as usual, America continues to plummet into the depths of the pandemic with more and more cases every day in certain states. And much of this is thanks to the people who refuse to wear masks. So thanks y'all, we'll be stuck in this sh*t for the next year because of you! Now have some memes for smart people who do choose to wear masks!
Working in service has a tendency to be hellish, even without the whole deadly pandemic thing looming over our shoulders and filling up hospitals. Now? Only the most entitled Karens (who probably don't want to wear masks) are filling up restaurants in covid-ravaged states, making lives hell and tipping less than 10%. These memes go out to all the people who have had to deal with such people, and in some cases, continue to do so throughout the madness. You deserve a lot of respect.
It feels like years since we binge-watched The Last Dance in deep quarantine. The documentary mini-series about the Chicago Bulls brought us great joy for about a week back in April, but the memes are more of a gift that keeps on giving. Most memes from the series feature the legendary Michael Jordan, who is as revered a character in memes as he is on the court.
One of the more popular (and long-lasting) Jordan memes features a shot of the all-star paired with the words "So I took that personally." While Jordan doesn't actually utter that phrase in the documentary, it's well-documented that he's a pretty big fan of the phrase - and apparently takes a lot of things personally. He's not the only one to get fussy over stuff. This format pokes fun at many other people who feel they've been wronged. Think Karens and Joe Exotic. It's tough when it feels like the world is out to get you. But at least it makes for some solid memes.
Is it just us or is 2020 the year of the Karen? It seems that this cursed year has somehow emboldened entitled women despite all the 'Karen' backlash that we're not ashamed to admit we've enjoyed. Between the coronavirus pandemic and recent protests against police brutality, every Karen has something to say. And it's usually a massively combination of offensive, entitled, and ignorant garbage. This mix of Karen content covers all of those bases - with a few memes thrown in for a light chuckle.
It's no secret that Karens and their counterparts across the United States are extremely upset about being forced to wear face masks to protect others - and themselves - from the dangerous coronavirus pandemic. They truly believe that it's a violation of their rights. And now they're creating laminated "Face Mask Exempt Cards" to present at businesses that require a face mask for service.
The cards, which illegally feature the DOJ seal, claim that the carrier has a condition that prevents them from wearing a face mask. And that they are not required to disclose the condition to a business owner who questions it. The ADA has already issued a notice against the fraudulent documents on their websites, but we know that won't stop the Karens from parading the typo-ridden cards at their favorite stores and restaurants. We hope they don't cause a new spike in cases, but for now, we'll take solace in the fact that they can't stop people on Twitter from making fun of them.
Anyone who works in or who has worked in the customer service industry will know the horrors of...The Karen. Doesn't matter if you're a waiter, bartender, call center rep, or you work at an Urban Outfitters - Karens are everywhere and they don't discriminate when it comes to speaking to the manager.
