Boxing Fans Walk Away From Mayweather vs. Paul Fight Disappointed as Fighters Walk Away With Millions

Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul walked away from last night's exhibition even richer as millions of fans who paid $49.99 a pop for the pay-per-view spectacle expressed disappointment after watching an 8-round hug fest.

Fans who expected a real fight probably should have looked up the exhibition match rules. There were never going to be any results, as there are no judges in an exhibition fight. And the prospect of 155-pound Money Mayweather knocking out the 189.5-pound YouTuber was always pretty unlikely, despite Logan Paul haters hoping for such an outcome. It became pretty clear to everyone watching that the fight was always the money-printing machine it was intended to be, which left fans coping the only way they know how: through memes.

We've collected some of our favorite Twitter reactions to the 'legalized bank robbery,' as Money Mayweather so eloquently put it.

Jake later uploaded an edited TikTok of the altercation with the caption 'went as planned' and proceeded to troll Mayweather online. Whether this was all a planned stunt to hype the coming fight (not that they really need it) or Jake Paul has some sort of death wish, the brief brawl ignited an unstoppable wave of hot takes and memes. Logan Paul Vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Inspires Hot Takes & Spicy Memes

It's been a big month for bizarre boxing news. Just a week after Jake Paul KO'd Nate Robinson, it seems his brother Logan will be entering the ring to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in what can only be described as another drop in the weird as hell 2020 bucket. The fight, which is scheduled for February 20th, is causing quite the stir online. While many people believe Mayweather's legendary boxing career gives him a clear advantage, Logan Paul's sheer size is causing other internet speculators to think the fight may end in an upset. While surprises are undoubtedly entertaining, we must admit that giving Logan Paul an unnecessary ego boost would be a devastating mistake. The internet seems to agree, and has been offering up some very spicy memes and hot takes in response. It's just too bad that we have to wait almost three months for a delightful or depressing conclusion.

Here's why a charity is going to be out $750,000.

For those of you who don't know, a radio "drop" is just a short bit of chatter in between songs that can be an advertisement, a notification, or just a heads-up. For example, say a song just ended and suddenly you hear "YOU'RE LISTENING TO 69.0 D-E-R-P FM, DENVER'S GREATEST HITS!" Cue next song. That's a drop. Here's Floyd Mayweather trying to read one of those. It starts at 2:00 in.
