Saturday was a big day for over half of the nation's voters. After an incredibly tense week, it was announced that Joe Biden had won the presidency. Though there's been a lot of hubbub surrounding supposed voter fraud, it seems like many people (even George W. Bush and Fox News) are accepting of the decision. These memes, while we know they may ruffle some peoples' feathers, reflect the sentiment of everyone seen dancing in the streets on Saturday. There's a lot of work to be done in the United States, but for the time being we can revel in a little humor and a little fun. 

It's day 5 of the United States presidential election, and just now CNN declared Joe Biden as the president elect.. As President Trump slaps newly blue-leaning states with lawsuits and cries fraud, most of us just want all of this to be over. Though election fatigue set in a long time ago, many people are still meme-ing and tweeting the hell. And...well, this is how just some of them feel.

Yup, we are still waiting for those damn election results to come in so we can finally go back to being miserable for normal, everyday reasons. As expected, there's been a lot of tension, wild accusations, and some unhelpful 'projections' from the mainstream media, but it's good to remember that everything is a little bit different during a global pandemic. And we can't be too hard on states like Nevada and Georgia for having to count way more votes than they're used to. So far, total votes this year doubled since 2016 and in some states early voting turnout was more than six times what it was four years ago. That's a lot of counting. So while we wait a little longer to find out the fate of the nation, let's enjoy some spicy election memes.

Who won the Vice Presidential debate last night? Well, at first it was hard to tell. Everything seemed to be going as expected—some wearisome interruptions, disregard for the moderator, a vague haze of bad vibes... And then it happened. About an hour into the debate, a fly landed on Mike Pence's head and lingered there for exactly two minutes and three seconds. Did the internet lose its damn mind? You bet it did. And a lot can happen in just two minutes—hundreds (yes, hundreds) of 'Pence fly'-themed Twitter accounts sprouted into existence, '#fly' instantly soared to Twitter's number one trending topic, a fly face filter appeared on Snapchat, and then of course, there were memes. 

With impressive haste, the internet gave us a mountain of memes, tweets, videos, and think-pieces to wake up to. Don't worry, we've narrowed the buzz down to a handful of highlights so that your brain doesn't fly out of your head.
