As procrastination goes, scrolling through web comics is one of our favorite naughty pastimes. There are so many to choose from, many of which (like Poorly Drawn Lines or Mr. Lovenstein) have been around for ages. It's so easy to start scrolling and find oneself a few years in the past. Here's a slightly biased selection of some of the comics we've been enjoying lately. 

If you didn't already know, we're fans of bizarre, nonsensical humor. These illustrations by Chris (Simpsons Artist) kind of remind us of Obvious Plant, so you know we had to share them with you.

These comics probably aren't anything new to the seriousHarry Potterstans, but we think pretty much anyone will enjoy their goofy humor. This definitely isn't the Albus Dumbledore you've seen in the books or movies - this Dumbledore is sassy, sarcastic, and...kind of sexy? Yeah, we  know. Save your judgment for after the comics, y'all. 

As the weather gets cooler here in the Northern hemisphere and the days get darker, we find ourselves needing a little extra TLC. Whether that comes from a steamy cup of cocoa, a person, or wholesome content, we're just trying to have that cozy comforting feeling. These happy, sweet, and sometimes sappy comics are just the thing we need after the sun sets at 5pm and we're curled up in our pajamas. 

We know, we know: we've covered these comics before. But if you haven't seen them yet, you'll understand why we love them so much as soon as you scroll down. They remind us of how bizarre our behavior as humans is.

If you've never visited r/soulcrushingjuice, that might be for the best. The subreddit is focused on editing existingcomicsand memes to make their message excruciatingly heartbreaking. You've gotta be in a very specific mood to enjoy these, or even tolerate them, so proceed at your own risk.

Adam Ellis has been churning out cute and relatable comics for years, but it's only since he decided to leave his steady gig at Buzzfeed that his work has started to get...interesting. It would seem that Ellis has a much weirder - and much darker - sense of humor than we originally thought. We've put together some comics that reflect this new edge, and we can't wait for more.

We like web comics, but we LOVE quirky and dark web comics. This series from artist Mike Organisciak definitely fits that bill. He set out to complete 100 days of comics and finished this past May. Hopefully he will himself again because we NEED more of these gems.

Can you believe the beloved Calvin and Hobbes has been around for 34 years already? We know, it's pretty surreal given that many of us grew up looking forward to the comics, created by Bill Watterson, in the newspaper. We love it for its relatable wittiness, adorable charm and the occasional bout of existential dread!

Congratulations to everyone who made it through the Monday through Friday work week. Prayers to everyone who has to work through the weekend. These memes will either help y'all take a chill pill after 5pm or help distract you from the upcoming pain of serving everyone with a day off.

We all need some words of encouragement from time to time. If you're going through a rough spell in your life, we think these adorably inspirational comics from Eckyo will give you a little boost to help you get through it all. They even offer online drawing classes so go check 'em out!

We're loving these comics created by Lucas Turnbloom, aptly named "How to Cat." Turnbloom very accurately illustrates the nonsensical way that cats think, from getting the zoomies at 3 AM to refusing to eat the perfectly good food right in front of them. We'll probably never fully understand those little furry devils, but at least these comics are amusing for all the cat parents out there!

Had enough of the bad sh*t happening in the world, or just need a pick-me-up because it's been a particularly bad day? These comics, filled with optimism, positivity, and love, might be the antidote your brain needs. 

The "funnies" are a thing of the past. With the internet at our fingertips, we're able to find comics that reflect our feelings about life and our dangerously dark and depressing senses of humor. Mr. Lovenstein's comics more than fit this bill. They're colorful and delightfully sardonic. Just like us.
