Carole Baskin Weighs In On The Houston Tiger, The Internet Is Predictably Skeptical

The plot has thickened with the escaped tiger in Houston. Not only was its owner identified as a murder suspect, but it has also been revealed that it is on the loose again.

The viral Twitter video has made it onto national news for these worrying developments, and in its coverage on CNN the producers made a controversial choice of expert. To the bafflement of Twitter users everywhere, Carole Baskin was invited onto the show to discuss the issue.

Longstanding rivalry with Joe Exotic aside, many were quick to point out that she herself did not exactly have a clean conscience when it came to the topic of murder. While she might have a good handle on wild animal laws, that isn't what social media has been focusing on.

'Zoom Dick' Is Trending On Twitter And The Internet Has Had Enough

Just when you thought this year couldn't get any more unhinged, if you log on to Twitter right now, you'll find that 'Zoom Dick' is one of the top trending topics. And yes, it's pretty much what it sounds like. According to VICE, the New Yorker has suspended CNN reporter Jeffrey Toobin after he whipped it out during a Zoom meeting with his colleagues. Toobin claims the indecent exposure was accidental, believing his camera was off at the time. Yikes.

Many on Twitter are lamenting the fact that we'll have to add 'Zoom Dick Incident' to the big, fat 2020 history books, while others are embracing the absurd event as a distraction from global pandemic, ceaseless wildfires, and electoral shit-shows. To be honest, we're pretty surprised something like this hasn't already happened at this point. Here's how people on Twitter are reacting to The Great Zoom Dick Incident of 2020.

In what feels like perfect timing with yesterday's Storm Area 51 event, the US Navy just confirmed that several clips of unidentified flying objects that were released between December 2017 and March 2018 might actually be alien spacecraft. Well, to be fair authorities haven't confirmed or denied exactly what these UFOs are because no one knows exactly, but we're still one step closer to confirming the existence of other intelligent life out there, and that's pretty damn cool!

CNN News Anchor Chris Cuomo Throws A Fit After Being Called 'Fredo'

CNN news anchor Chris Cuomo is being criticized after a video surfaced of him threatening someone with violence for calling him "Fredo."

"Fredo" is an insult for an Italian person meaning "weak brother," and refers to the character Fredo Corleone from The Godfather.

The criticism came after the video was published, when Cuomo asserted that the word "Fredo" is comparable to the N-word for Italian-Americans. Many Italian-Americans themselves were left highly confused by the assertion, and people on both sides of the political spectrum, including Donald Trump, had no shortage of criticism for him.

As we're all aware, using an insult based on one's ethnicity is never okay, but we think Cuomo may have gone a little too far in comparing the word "Fredo" to the N-word.

Scroll down to see some of the internet's various spicy memes and reactions to the incident!

Reddit Declares Meme War Against CNN After #CNNBlackmail Controversy

Redditors are waging war against CNN following their threat to dox a user over a GIF featuring the President and the news network. The GIF is an edited clip from Donald Trump's 2007 Wrestlemania appearance in which he gives WWE Vince McMahon a pretty serious beat down. In the GIF, the CNN logo has been superimposed over McMahon's face - and features the title "Trump takes down fake news (Colorized, 2017)." The animation, a jab at the cable news network, was later tweeted in video form by President Trump.

On July 4th, user HanAssholeSolo issued an apology to the r/The_Donald subreddit, in which he apologized for the controversy and any bigoted posts he made in the past. This is where the fun begins. The very same day, CNN senior editor Andrew Kaczynski claimed to have tracked down the user in question, and threatened to reveal his identity (dox, if you will) if he continued to "repeat this ugly behavior on social media again."

Reddit does not take kindly to blackmail. While the HanAssholeSolo was rumored to be a 15 year old boy, Kaczynski claims he is an adult. Either way, the response from subreddits r/dankmemes, r/cnnmemes, and r/memeeconomy has been swift. The users have taken to calling #CNN the Great Meme War - and have been creating a wealth of anti-CNN memes in response.

Collection of funny dank memes and responses to #CNNBlackmail, a controversy surrounding CNN and Reddit. CNN threatened to reveal a Redditor's information. Controversy involves Donald Trump and Wrestlemania gif.
