Pissed Off Memers Are Calling For Buzzfeed To Be Banished From The Internet

It's no secret that the internet really loves to hate on Buzzfeed. It's usually all fun and games, but recently a Buzzfeed headline appeared claiming that Stefan Karl Stefansson, who recently passed away from cancer, was actually the second best meme. This claim sent the Reddit community into an absolute frenzy, inspiring people to draft up a petition via Change.org to get Buzzfeed permanently deleted from the internet using the tag #DeleteBuzzfeed.

Of course, in the end the headline turned out to be fake, but that hasn't stopped the internet from attempting to totally destroy Buzzfeed with memes!

At the time of writing, over 18,000 people have signed the parody call-to-action.

While the petition probably won't result in any changes to the English language, it has inspired the creation of an r/yesnt subreddit. The community is full of a shocking number of memes dedicated to the word. These memes sure catch on real quick.
