In 44 BC, notorious Roman dictator Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times by his own senators, soldiers, officers and associates during a senate meeting on the Ides of March. Once a day of celebration, many history buffs now associate March 15th with tragedy and betrayal, largely thanks to soothsayer's famous warning in Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, 'beware the Ides of March.'

We thought it might be fun to gather a bunch of relevant Roman memes for all the history enthusiasts out there (and for anyone who might have a good reason to look over their shoulder). Beware the Ides of March!
