Marvel's WandaVision is easily the most popular show streaming right now about a scarlet witch of vaguely defined powers living inside a vintage sitcom with her dead husband, an android named Vision who used to be Robert Downey Jr.'s robo-butler named JARVIS. Second on to The Crown, probably. We don't know, we haven't seen it. But the weird thing is, everything we just described is actually an extremely simplified version of Scarlet Witch's comic book adventures. If you think the show is perplexing, your head might explode upon learning that if you dig deep into the comics' canon... it's pretty messed up. So let's go ahead and do that.
Game shows are a pretty universal form of entertainment. They've been around for years, and some of 'em (ahem, Jeopardy) have amassed some pretty serious followings. Here in the United States, dating game shows are pretty much a thing of the past - something parodied on sketch comedy shows like Saturday Night Live. In China, however, they're still going strong. And judging by these amusing stills, they're pretty damn entertaining.
Guy Fieri is a lot of things: television personality, human shot of Fireball whiskey, father, fashion icon. But perhaps most importantly, the spiky-haired, walking Ed Hardy advertisement is one hell of a meme. We've rounded up the best Guy Fieri memes of all time. So get in this car. We're going to Flavortown.
It's really, really easy to come up with memes about "stuff that is bad" or "stuff that is good." This Wojak comic format is no exception. The meme features Trad Girl thanking someone or something for changing her life. The response generally indicates that it's dumb to give the hobby or interest that much credit. The meme focuses mainly on movies/tv, beloved characters, and music - and there's lots to be roasted. While some of the examples are definitely laughable (ahem, Folklore), we do think it's important to let people have their fun in 2020. There's not much of it to be had.
Parks and Rec has been off the air for five years now, but that doesn't mean it's not still very much in our hearts. If you'd like to jog your memory of the show, then have some of the best memes and moments from it below! And click here for even more P&R material! Now if only the show would do a reboot...
Congratulations on making it through another depressing Monday. If you live in the Northeast like us, you enjoyed bone-chilling cold humidity and frigid spit from the heavens. If you're somewhere warmer, well, screw you. Just kidding. Whatever your hemisphere or temperature, we'll wager you deserve a break from the grind. That's what these memes are for.
While I may never recover from calling Ms. Hart "Mom" in second grade, it's comforting to know that there are memes out there that accurately depict the pain I felt after that happened. The latest format to embody our most cringe-worthy moments comes from the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian. It's from a scene in which robot bounty hunter IG-11 tells the Mandalorian that it will self-destruct as the two characters are completely cornered by enemies. Even if you haven't seen the series, these incredibly relatable memes will almost certainly resonate with you.
Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and now Disney+? Sometimes more choices are not necessarily a good thing. Disney just ditched Netflix and came out with its own streaming service this week and the internet is pretty divided on where they stand with it.
Now instead of paying one flat fee for a multitude of TV shows and movies on one streaming service, you can pay a bunch of little fees for a million different companies who don't give a sh*t about you! And predictably, those costs add up.
Our solution to all of this? Don't pay for any of them! For legal reasons we can't tell you to pirate anything, so we won't.
Anyway, take a little stroll through the following memes and tweets that roast the stupid number of streaming services available to us now.
