Ahh, meme-ories. Does anyone remember this classic meme, "The Shy Shark?"
It's no secret that a majority of us are terrified of the giant fish, regardless of the classic film "Jaws". I mean, a prehistoric ancient fish lurking in the water, with just it's fin popping up now and then? It's a terrifying image and anyone who says otherwise is flat out lying to you.
That's why the 'Shy Shark' makes us so happy. With its confused and oddly adorable expression, for a moment, we aren't as afraid as we usually are.

At this point we're all aware of the cursed nature of medieval cat art. Their strangely human painted faces are the stuff of bad trips, or for the innocent, nightmares. While we've learned to accept their demonic yet depressed vibe, Twitter user @DannyDutch has clued us into some more fascinating (and slightly freaky) medieval animal art. His thread boasts 17 examples of medieval artists saying "f*ck it, i think this is what xyz animal looks like." And while sometimes the artists hit the nail mostly on the head, some have left us either laughing at their absurdity or feeling slightly disturbed. However these artifacts make you feel, we can be sure of one thing: art and world travel have both come a long way since the Middle Ages.

Smiling is the universal sign of happiness. It's also very contagious. Whenever someone is smiling or laughing, you can feel that muscle around your mouth starts to pull up. Unless... the smile is totally creepy.

PETA's been busy fielding backlash over their decision to target Steve Irwin (RIP) in a post on Twitter. The message was insensitive and naturally, torn apart by outraged Twitter users. From there, we can see PETA targeted Elon Musk and Jimmy Fallon, as well. They would seem insistent on being as annoying and rude as possible to the world around them.

You've probably seen at least a few of the pictures of exotic locales with some of the craziest, and sometimes dangerous jellyfish in the world. But this monstrous specimen was found in the English Channel of all places, off of the coast of Cornwall. Better still, the jellyfish appeared out of the murk on the last day of Wild Ocean Week, which was a day to promote local fish species and understanding of the species living all around them, as well as to raise money for the Marine Conservation Society.

Ok get ready for it internet. The zombie snail is back. After bursting onto the viral internet scene back in 2012, when National Geographic posted a video about the species. 2 years later, Wired did an article 2 years later on the natural phenomenon, dubbing these gastropods "Disco Zombies". They have taken the internet by storm, with Twitter blowing up with #nope hashtags after seeing the creepy crawly creature.
