What you see above is a mod showcased by Super Mega Buster 123 Win64 Gigabyte, and actually created by KevintheH. The mod swaps Ryu's model with Goku textures. See video below:

Impressively enough the mod's only in 'beta', but already manages to sound much like Goku. This isn't the first display of effective character swap mods. In the past we've seen the likes of Samus and Captain Falcon swapped for Iron Man and Captain America.

The hard fought work definitely shows here. The mod, titled 'Holds: The City Overhaul' depicted in Youtube user Shinji72's video touts an impressive display of all the game's settlements revamped, as well as two new settlements Black Moor and Amber Guard. Check it out in the video below:

And this comes so soon after the previous, awesome Fire Emblem-inspired mod..Good and interesting times we live in, indeed. Anyways, here's how the process works:

“Go to a soldier in the Armory, click on Find a bondmate. If anybody meets the requirements, click on them, click through the resistance communications thing (it’s basically a dummy alert to do all the magical kid stuff), then exit out of the armory. You’ll notice the number of soldiers has gone up, go back, and find the new kid waiting to be promoted to Squaddie in the menu, with two additional cross class abilities from their parents (or psionic/lightning reflexes if the parents weren’t the base 4 classes) by default.”

For the sake of full disclosure, this is the most beautiful news I've seen all day today. I've been a committed fan to both Fire Emblem and XCOM since I was a lil rugrat catching that impressively long, epic Sacred Stones epilogue while the rest of the fam was doing things like eating dinner together.

I only ever dreamt we'd wake up in a world one day where a game might merge favorable elements from each differing game. This game is it, man, and all thanks to mods. The description reads:

“This mod puts a dash of Fire Emblem into your XCOM, leveraging a ‘squadmate score’ system to give small buffs for squads that trust in each other.”
