For the sake of full disclosure I'm still exploring the original map from Fallout 4, and now Bethesda hits us with this galvanizing bit of news..a landmass in the Far Harbor DLC is slated to be bigger than Oblivion's biggest map (even though that game came out ages ago). Let the jaws hit the floor.

The biggest catch, or qualm rather, that I hold here is the fact Far Harbor will have less 'playable content' than Shivering Isles. Ah well, if anything we'll enjoy some better developed faction quests, more challenging creatures and dastardly dungeons and higher-level armor and weapons sets.

And the big 'ol bold news for Fallout 4 don't stop there, as I'm sure you know, survival mode hit PCs today alongside a new patch. Some of the notable takeaways with the new survival mode :

-Quicksaving and "almost" all autosaves are disabled; you will instead need to find a bed and sleep for at least an hour to save the game.

-Fast travel is disabled.

-You now deal more damage, but you also take more damage. Players can also further increase their damage with the new "Adrenaline" perk, Bethesda explained. Every five kills increases your Adrenaline rank, adding 5 percent each time for up to 50 percent damage at the max rank of 10.

-Combat is now "more strategic," as you will need to make use of block/parry to stay alive.

-Threats (outside of those added by a Recon scope) will not display on your compass; additionally, the distance at which areas of interest will show up has been "significantly shorted."

-You will also need to take care of yourself, staying hydrated, fed, and rested. Don't eat, drink, or sleep for a while and your health will deteriorate.

-Fatigue will affect your Action Points, meaning the more Fatigue you have, the less Action Points you'll have available for sprinting and using V.A.T.S.

Codsworth's truly hitting his stride man. Players are coming together to forge some seriously twisted, demonic, though definitely impressive Codsworth robo monsters. This vid wins for today though.

Can you blame us though? Perfectly proportioned, and eager to abide by your every command. Who would've thought replacing Codsworth's typical thrusters with Assaultron's legs could've struck such an impact on dat aesthetic appeal?

You could shatter a piece of power armor on those thighs.

If you made it this far you probably already know that Fallout 4's newest Automatron DLC is a shining proclamation to the power of a well-armed robot army. It comes as no surprise then that you now have the chance to outfit your trusty robo companion Codsworth in an absurdly diversified number of ways.
