THE WINNER'S GUIDE TO NINTENDO came out in 1991, and as you'd expect, it's filled with tips on beating assorted Nintendo games.

But the most interesting part is its cover. Get a load of those fabricated video game characters!

There's a starfish boy, an ugly fish woman, a coyote, a Grinch-like mosquito, and what I'm taking to be some kind of golden apple monster. For some reason, everyone is surfing. This is so great.
