There's something about these comics and drawings that I find to be so incredibly soothing. Maybe it's the washed out muted color scheme, the lack of dialogue, or the incredibly relaxed facial expressions on the characters. 

It all comes together with the context to create this oddly soothing yet foreboding feeling.
