Yeah my parents parents are so blind. My mam thinks I'm suffering from "Bonky Fever" and thinks that the show is the same thing as the older generations and my dad gets the impression that all bronies have a sexual attraction to cartoon horses and are regarded by society as pedophiles. And they both say that it's innapropriate for a 16 year old boy. Of course they can't stop me from watching it on Youtube or buying merchandise in the shops, but it stops me from attending meetups and buying merch (official and unofficial) online (the only good pony toys I can ever find in shops are the mane six brushables, everything else catered specifically towards little girls, I'm lucky to even find the blindbags). If they could at least accept my interest then I could like it without worrying what they'd think (they allow me to have an interest in Pokemon but when it comes to ponies they'd rather I was gay or that I pierced my face and dyed my hair green), but instead I'll have to wait until they are asleep and watch it in private. The real salt on the wound is looking at post no pony sites about how people my age are getting cakes, going to meetups and even getting pony presents from non-bronies. I'm sorry if that sounds selfish, but I would like to know if there are other bronies who share my pain.
